Jerez de la Frontera is the complete name of the municipality that is Jerez. The city is located in the Cadiz province in Andalusia together with other municipalities and cities such as: Huelva, Seville, Cordoba, Jaen, Jerez, Malaga and Almería. The city is served primarily by Jerez Airport which is also known as La Parra Airport. There are tons of places to see and visit in Jerez de la Frontera. Religious sights and palaces line the streets and road making the city a visual smorgasbord of architectural beauty. Some of the most prominent sights include The Cathedral, the Church of San Marcos, the Church of Sta Maria, Church of San Dionisio and Convent of Las Reparadoras among other churches, convents, and chapels. The palaces include the Palacio Duque de Abrantes, Palacio de Bertemati, and Palacio del Baron de Algar del Campo, to name a few.


The Archaeological Museum (Museo Arqueológico Municipal de Jerez de la Frontera) in Jerez, which can be found on the Plaza del Mercado, is home to many Roman artefacts such as a Corinthian helmet, Roman ceramics, tools and other historically significant items. Another museum of note is the Atalaya Watch Museum which is also known as the Palace of TIme.


In the municipality is the Feria del Caballo, an unmissable destination as it is open to everyone unlike the one in Seville. There are also horses and carriages that can accommodate photo ops and quick rides. Aside from being the centre for horsemanship and Flamenco, Jerez de La Frontera is known as the capital of sherry wine in the world.
