Rome Ciampino Airport, which is one of the oldest airports still in operation, is another airport in Rome with flights to and from Cagliari, Brindisi, Edinburgh and Glasgow-Prestwick, among others. It was opened in 1916 and used to be Rome’s main airport until 1960, when the Rome Fiumicino Airport was built.
