Helpful Information

The beauty and ruggedness of the Northern Territory are legendary. Darwin, the capital of the Northern Territory is located on the northern tip of the Territory. By choosing Darwin for your campervan hire, you will have the opportunity to explore one of the most unique parts of Australia.

Among the sights to see when setting out on a campervan trip is Litchfield National Park, 100 kilometres south-west of the city. The area,  upgraded in recent years through a capital works program, has campgrounds and plenty of hiking activities. There are plenty of fun things to experience at Litchfield, such as waterfalls, swimming holes and incredible sights like the Lost City.

Those looking to experience one of the most breathtaking areas in the region should head to Kakadu National Park. Hop in your campervan and drive a few hours east to find beautiful mudflat beaches, ancient rock art, and towering rock features.

Australia's wildlife can be seen at some of the wildlife and tropical parklands nearby Darwin. The Territory Wildlife Park offers an encounter with some of the country's wild creatures in their native habitat. For those who enjoy animals, a stop by one of the area's many reserves is recommended.

The city itself is worth spending time in. The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory showcases the culture of Australia's Indigenous population. The city beaches are worth exploring. Featuring markets, boats, and parks, the miles of beach are fascinating and fun year round.

Our experience was great from the start with the Staff being very helpful to the actual Euro delux Motorhome. The only problem was the cleaning and smell in the toilet & shower which we never used it. I would add a bit more new kitchenware . But all linen was very clean, fresh...doonas would really change them and in the Kakadu you don't need them at all. But in general we had an amazing time. We definitely recommend Apollo Motorhomes, specially the new ones ;-)
